FinOps at Citi is dedicated to the strategic financial management, planning, procurement, and optimization of Citi's global technology infrastructure. We ensure technology is resilient, scalable, fiscally responsible, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Our focus spans from procurement through utilization, covering cost management, capacity planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiencies. We drive business intelligence, reporting, and dashboard development, leveraging data analytics and automation to enhance financial decision-making, cost efficiency, innovation, and security across the technology landscape. The Estate Management Service Delivery organization comprises sector-aligned Infrastructure Service Delivery (ISD) groups, supporting Technology and Business areas (CTS, SMB/F). Our responsibilities include service quality, application & CMDB hygiene, configuration management, infrastructure funding, and portfolio management. We align with Citi’s strategic technology goals by governing core workflow processes, partnering with application teams, and foundational services to provide infrastructure fulfillment oversight, optimize technology resources, and promote strategic platforms. The Infrastructure Senior Technology Analyst is a key intermediate-level role responsible for optimizing Citi’s technology infrastructure across various applications and platforms. Leveraging strong technical and analytical skills, you will collaborate globally with technology leaders and teams to enhance infrastructure products and services, lead new projects, and deliver impactful results. This position requires solid expertise in infrastructure support and maintenance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Infrastructure Optimization & Delivery: Lead initiatives to optimize technology infrastructure, focusing on efficiency, resilience, and scalability
  • Drive the delivery of key projects, managing planning, coordination, and ensuring successful outcomes
  • Oversee work planning, task management, and coordination in JIRA, including sprint planning and daily operations
  • Data Analysis & Business Intelligence: Perform advanced data analysis, database management, and create impactful data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau
  • Identify and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance, analyze trends, and inform strategic business decisions
  • Develop business intelligence insights on operations and project portfolio delivery
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Act as a trusted partner and advisor to business and technology leaders, identifying solutions aligned with organizational goals and promoting transparency in financials, service delivery, and operations
  • Effectively communicate progress, updates, and insights on complex challenges to senior clients and partners
  • Engage with partners to gather direct feedback on service performance and drive client-approved delivery
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and analyze factors impacting task completion, delivery, or customer satisfaction, implementing controls to mitigate negative outcomes
  • Assess and manage risks (error, fraud), ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to Citi policies
  • Apply sound ethical judgment in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets, and transparently escalating control issues
  • Innovation & Team Leadership: Drive innovation with an inquisitive technical mindset, actively participating in upcoming AI initiatives
  • Lead and motivate virtual teams, fostering connection, productivity, and clear goal alignment
  • Employ a holistic, systems-thinking approach to review data, apply business process improvement methodologies, and design processes supporting remote leadership

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in technology infrastructure, FinOps, or a related service delivery role within a large, complex, and/or global enterprise, preferably in the Financial Services sector
  • Proven experience in applying initiatives to improve portfolio experience
  • Well-rounded technical abilities, including infrastructure and applications development
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions to achieve tactical and strategic objectives
  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills for effective stakeholder articulation and client expectation management
  • Detail-oriented with confidence in analyzing and interpreting data for reports, metrics, and presentations
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Accountable for end results, ensuring procedure adherence and contributing to organizational standards and strategic goals
  • Broad, comprehensive understanding across multiple client function areas
  • Technical Tools: SQL, Python (for data analysis/automation)
