Job Description

The Infrastructure Team Lead supports the Consumer Operations data and tooling estate, coordinating the day to day work of MIS Developers and Infrastructure Analysts. You’ll help ensure high data quality, reliable data pipelines and effective incident management, enabling timely reporting and workflow capabilities that support operational performance and CX improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate daily workload, priorities and task allocation across the infrastructure team
  • Oversee data management activities, including ETL processes, data discovery and data quality checks
  • Ensure data issues and incidents are resolved quickly, providing hands on support where needed
  • Support the Manager in defining, maintaining and embedding clear data governance and data definitions
  • Maintain clear documentation covering data models, pipelines, processes and quality standards
  • Provide on call support for operational data incidents as part of the team rota
  • Work closely with operational and insight teams to understand data needs and ensure solutions are ready for delivery
  • Ensure compliance with internal data assurance, security and control processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve data performance, processes and automation
  • Coach and support team members to build capability, confidence and technical expertise

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, SQL and data quality management
  • Experience coordinating workload and priorities across a technical or analytical team
  • Understanding of operational reporting and data structures within a contact centre or retail environment
  • Confident troubleshooting and resolving data issues, even under time pressure
  • Good understanding of data governance and data assurance standards
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience supporting an on call rota
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring technical colleagues
