Job Description:

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Specialist looking for a long-term contract within a large government department? We are seeking a dedicated Advisor Assets and Standards to lead the administration and request management of our ServiceNow infrastructure module. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive process standardisation, enhance system efficiencies, and provide high-level secretariat support in a dynamic environment that values professional growth and offers one day per week working from home.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the daily operations of the ServiceNow infrastructure module, acting as the primary point of contact for request review, triage, and allocation to technical teams
  • Develop and standardise ServiceNow processes across multiple functional areas, ensuring disparate request types are integrated into a unified decision workflow
  • Engage with business customers to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and ensure high-quality service delivery across the request lifecycle
  • Identify system bottlenecks and document administrative gaps to improve workflow performance and maintain a strategic improvement log for future upgrades
  • Prepare high-quality briefing materials, decision papers, and Secretariat support for governance forums to facilitate informed decision-making

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in ServiceNow infrastructure administration and managing end-to-end request lifecycles
  • Strong ability to map current state processes and design future state workflows to improve system efficiency and performance
  • Expertise in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and training materials for diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellent communication skills for customer liaison and the ability to facilitate workshops to drive system adoption
  • Experience in providing governance and secretariat support, including maintaining audit trails and preparing documentation for delegated authority sign-offs
