At least 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux SME role
Highly technical and problem solving skills in Linux environment
Knowledge of HP, Dell, IBM, VCS, VMWare VMs, VXVM and VVR hardware up to enterprise level
Prior experience in large scale enterprise infrastructure support, re-engineering, performance fine tuning and cost
Experience in Infrastructure Support Group in a high availability/mission critical environment
Experience in managing communications across business and technology stakeholders at varying levels across a medium to large scale enterprise

Job Responsibility

SME/Unix System administrators responsible for providing L3 Unix support for GFT Unix infrastructure
Provide technical tier-3 Production Support Management for large complex infrastructure
Proactively monitor overall production support, resolving risks and issues and initiating corrective action plans as appropriate
Ensure processes are clearly documented
Provide regular communication to management and stakeholders of production support status for your infrastructure, including risks, issues and mitigations
Analyze complex problems/situations and to propose simple solutions
Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand
Manage a workload which is subject to changing priorities and demands
Create and maintain a knowledge base to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team

Experience in Capital Markets Low Latency Network Infrastructure workflows will be highly relevant to this role
5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level networks
Strong proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP), and VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, NSX)
