Job Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives supporting enterprise infrastructure, security, and controlled environment separation in San Diego, California. This Long-term Contract position will oversee cross-functional delivery across cloud platforms, networks, end-user computing, data center operations, laboratory technology environments, and compliance-focused infrastructure work. The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership, clear stakeholder communication, and the ability to coordinate execution in fast-moving technical settings.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead planning and execution for infrastructure-focused projects involving cloud services, network environments, end-user computing, data centers, lab systems, and security-related initiatives
  • Coordinate a dedicated workstream supporting identity-related transition activities and secure separation of technical environments while maintaining alignment with program objectives
  • Build and manage project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and status reporting to keep delivery on track
  • Partner with technical teams, security stakeholders, and business leaders to define scope, priorities, and implementation plans
  • Facilitate Agile project activities, including sprint planning, progress reviews, and issue resolution, to support timely delivery
  • Use Jira and related project tools to track work, document updates, and provide visibility into project performance
  • Identify delivery risks early and drive mitigation plans to reduce operational disruption and maintain compliance expectations
  • Ensure project governance standards, documentation, and communication practices are consistently followed across all assigned initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects across areas such as cloud, networks, end-user computing, data centers, labs, and security/compliance
  • Strong background in project management with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex technical environments
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery models
  • PMP certification is required or strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Jira for project tracking, reporting, and coordination
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and risks in a structured and proactive manner
