This position oversees large-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) as well as Software-Defined Block Storage infrastructure worldwide, focusing on availability, performance, capacity, and security, coordinating teams, planning upgrades (Dell/EMC, IBM, NetApp), ensuring compliance, and aligning global storage strategy with business goals, often requiring deep tech skills in SAN/SDS-Block/Linux/X86 hardware, cloud, and data management, plus leadership in complex, international IT environments.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement global storage strategies, roadmaps, and policies
Manage large SAN environments, Software-Defined Storage (i.e. PowerFlex) including provisioning, zoning, upgrades, and performance tuning
Build, mentor, and lead globally dispersed storage operations teams
Work with network, server, security, and application teams to resolve issues and support business needs
Proactively plan for capacity, monitor utilization, and resolve performance bottlenecks
Implement security patching, access controls, and ensure regulatory compliance
Oversee third-party vendors (like logistics/support) and manage budgets
Managing a 24x7 follow the sun operations and support model for delivering seamless storage services to our internal customers
Requirements:
10+ years of progressive and distinguished experience as a senior storage/technical leader in a large (global) enterprise environment
Deep knowledge of SAN/SDS Block Storage technologies (e.g., Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, IBM
Operating Systems (Linux and Windows)
Fibre Channel (Cisco and Brocade)
IP Networking (NVMe-of-Fabric and iSCSI)
X86 Hardware (Dell and/or HPE)
Proven ability to lead, set vision, and manage large-scale operations
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-zone issues
Ability to create scalable, sustainable operational models
Excellent communication, cross-cultural management, and stakeholder management
Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
