Job Description:

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with French to join the Sopra Steria Polska team and contribute to a project for a client that provides technological and operational support for a project which is providing IT services for a major French telecommunications operator since 2010. Wide range of Level 1 & Level 2 support activities. High‑security environment with restricted access. Use of customer‑specific tools. Long‑term transformation initiatives. Tech stack on the project: Linux & Windows environments; Container technologies (Kubernetes); Virtualization technologies; Additional telco-specific platforms (e.g., NetAct)

Job Responsibility:

  • Handling and resolution of Level 2 incidents
  • Implementation of corrective actions: application restarts, server reboots, file system purges, parameter changes, network-related incident analysis, hardware intervention management, status checks via Nagios, process restarts
  • Preventive maintenance management
  • Planning, execution, and follow-up of maintenance actions to ensure infrastructure availability and performance
  • Projects
  • Verification of proper functioning of new platforms and servers
  • Restart of new applications or servers
  • Updating of operating procedures (DEX)
  • Occasional interventions
  • Execution of software updates: OS, IOS, firmware, certificates, and licenses
  • Problem management (recurring incidents)
  • Resolution of Level 2 incidents
  • Technical support for L2, L2+, and L3 depending on needs
  • Management of critical network incidents (ICR)
  • Handling of critical incidents
  • Sending alert SMS messages
  • Communication during business hours (HO)

Requirements:

  • Proficient in UNIX and Windows Server diagnostics and administration
  • Strong command of virtualization technologies
  • French language skills at a minimum B1 level
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Availability and capability to perform on‑call duties

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
