The Infrastructure Engineer – Wireless Connectivity is a key member of the Global Infrastructure & Operations (GIO) organization and is responsible for the performance, implementation, and engineering of wireless connectivity platforms and solutions. This engineer role will focus on partnering across GIS, GIO, and with our operations partner to drive business value through execution and problem-solving. The Infrastructure Engineer – Wireless Connectivity ensures platform integrity, manages lifecycle tasks, and drives improvements across enterprise connectivity. Responsibilities include maintaining networking platforms (WAN, LAN, WiFi) and supporting project delivery with a primary focus on wireless connectivity platforms and engineering. This role will leverage automation and platform efficiencies to improve deployment speed and operational reliability.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Owens Corning specific business processes and operations
Build relationships within the organization, cross-functionally, and with key business stakeholders
Understand how IT infrastructure and services are directly aligned with the company's strategic objectives
Assist in monitoring and assessing the health, capacity, and performance of connectivity platforms
Provide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of connectivity platforms
Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to design and implement enhancements
Establish and maintain engineering standards, templates, and automation for wireless network design, deployment, and configuration
Evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging wireless technologies, tools, and optimization platforms
Own complex wireless incident resolution
Lead small-to-medium scale wireless connectivity projects and platform modernization efforts
Integrate wireless security and compliance requirements into architecture and operational processes
Identify and implement automation opportunities across wireless configuration management
