Job Description

Meta is looking to add a new team member to join the Infrastructure Accounting, Data Center & Facilities team. The company is in a period of vast growth, and we want people to join us who are ready for the challenge of helping us build and scale. You will work well with cross-functional teams, provide accounting and process guidance for decision making, and manage a significant portion of Facebook’s infrastructure investment on our balance sheet. You will need to recognize how to strike a balance on getting the details right while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. You must be a highly self-motivated, focused individual who can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage accounting for multiple construction projects and facilities fit-outs, overseeing record-to-report, month-end close, and associated SOX controls
  • Coordinate annual and short-term ARO (Asset Retirement Obligation) confirmations and estimates, including communication with Project Managers
  • Track and manage tax incentives receivables and reversal of prior year tax credits
  • Manage leasehold improvement balances and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards & ensure accurate accounting for decommissioned assets
  • Own multiple balance sheet accounts and the corresponding sub-ledger for varying levels of complexity
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our Infrastructure Business Partners to understand the broader business objectives, develop processes jointly and provide accounting guidance
  • Identify process gaps and independently develop and implement solutions
  • Provide support to finance management and other cross functional partners as needed. This includes ad hoc financial analysis, technical analysis, and special projects

Requirements

  • Proven collaborator who is adept at working as part of a larger team located in different locations
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of financial statement auditing, financial accounting, or similar experience
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and working with business partners to effect changes
  • Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs
