Citi Markets Technology are seeking a highly motivated IT professional to join our Global Markets Platform team located in Mississauga. This is an opportunity to join the global team providing technology services across our suite of Equities electronic trading applications. This role will involve collaboration with electronic-trading platforms and infrastructure dealing with a wide range of teams including Traders, Application Developers, Product Owners, and Engineering.
Job Responsibility:
Interface with Citi’s Markets business, technology application teams and clients/vendors, understand functional business and technical connectivity requirements, translate the business/application/technical connectivity requirements into actionable engineering change requests
Own and drive the creation of business/ functional markets trading applications and servicing infrastructure connectivity requirements
Documenting solutions and managing end to end application architectural and connectivity flows, and the upstream and downstream dependencies
Integrate modern tools and emerging technologies including AI‑enabled automation, collaboration platforms, to enhance productivity and streamline delivery workflows
Proactively identify risks, issues, and blockers
escalate with precision and propose credible mitigations before they become crises
Maintaining Book of Work and facilitating prioritization discussions with key business and technology stakeholders
Document connectivity requirements and support service validation testing, release, and implementation activities
Identify, plan, and execute connectivity projects
Develop and publish content for Senior management reporting, presentations, town halls etc.
Plan, coordinate, and drive day‑to‑day delivery of complex technology initiatives
Track milestones against target dates and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
Manage project scope, assess change requests, and clearly communicate impact on timelines, costs, and risks to Global Head of Platforms
Partner daily with business stakeholders, technology leads, product teams, and clients
Manage expectations across global teams and operate effectively in ambiguous, high‑pressure environments
Proactively identify, manage, and escalate project risks and issues
Define and drive risk mitigation strategies, including remediation plans
Create and maintain core project management artifacts and documentation
Apply lessons learned to improve future delivery and processes
Leverage automation and AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity, reporting, and delivery discipline
Understanding Business priorities and working as a liaison between Business and Engineering teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to effectively communicate issues, risks, and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders
Partner with technology teams to oversee projects, execute plans and ensure critical deliverables are met
Interface between Citi’s Markets Technology applications and all Infrastructure Engineering teams such as Network & Firewall Engineering, Unix and Linux Server Engineering, Middleware Solace and Tibco engineering
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available low latency trading network architectures
Drive coordination, planning, configuration, and deployment connectivity engineering solutions through (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, Proxy Servers & Zscaler) from various vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5)
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security incidents
Participate in an after-hours support for service validations during network change activities
Requirements:
Proven experience in technology project management, business analysis in application connectivity through network devices, data center migrations, and new connectivity network builds is essential
Experience in Capital Markets Low Latency Network Infrastructure workflows will be highly relevant to this role
Hands‑on experience leveraging AI and automation for productivity with knowledge of emerging AI use cases in infrastructure Technology functions highly desirable
Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills with ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable applications connectivity designs

Strong influencing and negotiation skills
ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships

Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development methodologies including tools such as Jira & Confluence
6-10 years of experience in roles centered around infrastructure delivery (application hosting and/or end user services) with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Understanding of how specialization within area contributes to the business and of competitors' products and services
Ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices
Ability to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline
Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
