Job Description

The Information Technology Support Technician role involves providing onsite technical support in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have at least 5 years of IT support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in Windows OS. A+ Certification is required, and an undergraduate degree is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide onsite in person technical support for end users in a plant/manufacturing environment
  • Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment, and repair on desktops / notebooks / printers / tablets
  • May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader instructions
  • Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action
  • Interact directly with clients and other internal and external sources to resolve issues
  • Hands and feet support for IT and OT (operational technology) infrastructure including but not limited to switches, access points, gateways, routers, IP cameras, NVR and badge readers

Requirements

  • 5+ years IT support experience
  • A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Undergraduate degree or some college coursework preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating system environment
  • Knowledge and Experience with Android OS and Apple iOS
  • Excellent customer/client service skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on customer service, including experience handling challenging situations and conflict resolution
  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Active communicator
