Columbia Technology Partners is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to assess, design, and implement secure computing environments across networking, system, and enclave architectures. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with IA standards, and integrating security controls throughout the system lifecycle. The ISSE will support system security design, RMF/NISCAP authorization activities, and enterprise security architectures, while collaborating with engineering teams to enforce trusted system relationships, mitigate risks, and ensure consistent application of security policies across complex, multi-enclave environments.
Job Responsibility
Perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and IA compliance gaps
Design, develop, and integrate security solutions across computing, network, and enclave environments
Support RMF/NISCAP authorization efforts, including security planning, assessment, and documentation review
Define and validate system security requirements and contribute to system security architecture
Collaborate with system and software engineers to implement security controls and IA best practices
Assess and mitigate risks across the system lifecycle, including incident response and contingency planning
Enforce trusted relationships between systems and external architectures
Develop and review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation for completeness and compliance
Support multi-enclave system design with varying classification and data protection requirements
Apply expertise in areas such as cryptography, access control, auditing, configuration management, and intrusion detection
Recommend and implement improvements to security processes, tools, and technologies
Serve as a security engineering representative on development and integration teams
Requirements
14+ years of ISSE experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
Experience with RMF/NISCAP, system security design, risk management, and multi-enclave environments
IASAE Level II compliance and active CISSP certification required
U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
