The Information Security Lead provides enterprise-wide leadership, oversight and direction for information security across Gas Networks Ireland. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, the role is responsible for advising on, governing and monitoring the protection of GNI’s information assets, ensuring that information security is embedded into business operations, projects, procurement, and third party engagements.

Protect Information Assets & Manage Risk
Lead, Improve & Embed Security by Design
Other duties as required from time to time.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in Information Security, Information Systems, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
5 years’ relevant experience in similar roles, ideally in a regulated or utility environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Previous experience with initiating and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and externally
Proven track record in leading multi-located (resource augmented) teams
Proven track record in dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Visio experience is essential
Excellent IT skills, i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
