As the Information Governance Lead, you will play a vital role in our Corporate Services Directorate, ensuring that we meet our statutory and non-statutory responsibilities regarding information governance, records retention, and risk management.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and triage correspondence, including Subject Access Requests (SARs), Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, and corporate complaints
Coordinate timely responses and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines
Support the review and improvement of electronic records and document retention arrangements
Maintain and update our strategic and operational risk registers
Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Services and IT providers on business continuity and cyber security initiatives
Assist in the management and review of corporate policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant
Requirements:
Previous experience within an information governance, data protection, records management and/or compliance framework - preferably in a regulatory, membership or healthcare environment
A proactive, resourceful, and flexible team player with a positive attitude
Strong analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail
Experience in administrative or compliance roles, preferably within a regulatory or healthcare setting
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint, Word, and Excel
