In this role you will be responsible for shaping the architecture of our documentation systems, making sure technicalinformation is structured clearly, logically, and in a way that is easy to access for different user groups such asdevelopers, engineers, and customers. You will collaborate closely with technical writers, developers, productmanagers, and UX designers to ensure the documentation setup meets real user needs. We also see this role as central in configuring, managing, and maintaining the tools from within, with a strong focuson understanding information flow and driving improvements. Job Responsibility:
Information architecture design: Design clear, user-friendly documentation structures and metadata for easy navigation and reuse
Content strategy and management: Define and maintain modular, standardized content to ensure consistency and adaptability
Collaboration with technical and product teams: Work with SMEs and product teams to ensure content structure reflects product logic and user needs
Search and retrieval optimization: Improve findability through metadata, tagging, and well-organized content architecture
Tools and technologies: Oversee and enhance content management tools and systems to streamline documentation workflows. Ensure effective management and optimization of metadata, version control, and information architecture within content management systems. Support continuous improvement of tools, templates, and processes
User research and usability testing: Use feedback and testing to ensure documentation structures meet user expectations
Compliance and standardization: Ensure documentation meets quality, regulatory, and version control requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Architecture, Technical Communication, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in information architecture, technical documentation, or content management for complex technical products
Strong understanding of information architecture principles, including taxonomy, metadata, content modeling, and usability
Proficiency with documentation tools
Familiarity with HTML, XML, CSS, and basic knowledge of API documentation
Strong analytical skills and experience working with structured content (modular content, topic-based authoring)
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and knowledge management platforms
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Familiarity with usability testing, user research, and iterative design methodologies
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Experience working with agile development teams
Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques as they apply to documentation
Understanding of single-sourcing methodologies and structured content development standards (e.g., DITA)
Familiarity with localization and internationalization of technical content
