Information Analyst - Shared EPR. The Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is excited to offer an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our Data and Informatics team as an Information Analyst on a Fixed Term Contract to support the implementation of the new Shared EPR system across the BSW Hospital Group. We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking individual to work closely with the Senior Information Analysts and key stakeholders at all levels to deliver high quality reporting and analytics to support decision making and improve patient care across the Trust.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with Divisional Managers, Clinicians and staff in providing high quality business intelligence information and analysis to support the Division's objectives and business needs
Development, design and maintenance of health related datasets and complex information and analysis
Provision of advice and guidance on specialist analysis
Implementation of policies and processes for own area and proposal of changes impacting cross-professional working groups
Understand and interpret highly complex information and analytical requirements, assess the purpose for which outputs are required and support, develop and deliver appropriate solutions using various information query tools and languages
Maintain and develop understanding of the range of sources of data both within and outside the organisation
Analyse data for a wide range of clients, determining the best form for communicating/presenting the information, from simple to highly complex and ensuring that the presentation is relevant, comprehensible and conforms to agreed timescales with the client
Contribute to the review, planning, development and implementation of new information systems to meet user requirements
Develop, maintain and utilise in depth specialist knowledge of statistical and analytical tools and techniques including being the Trust lead in certain tools
Shaping the data the Trust holds into actionable intelligence that can be utilised by those that need it, when it is required
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Evidence of continued personal development
Proven experience working within an Information or analysis role
Detailed analysis & validation of various types of data to inform assessment of performance of complex organisations and to help identify opportunities for improvement
Very high level of computer literacy & technical competence - including understanding of a range of additional data analysis querying tools (e.g. PowerBI, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, VBA etc.) of working with MS SQL Server (including Analysis Services and Reporting)
Understanding of Data Warehouses
Real eye for detail
Analytical mind-set
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to adapt approach with stakeholders and interpret requirements
Enthusiasm to get the job done to the highest standards
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Nice to have:
Degree in relevant fields e.g. informatics, analysis, statistics

Experience in an acute hospital setting
Experience with healthcare quality frameworks
Experience with NHS
Proficiency with business intelligence tools (preferably Power BI)
