This role involves developing and delivering decision support tools, reporting applications, insights, and business intelligence to support healthcare policy, benefits, and operational decision making.

Job Responsibility:

To develop and deliver decision support tools, reporting applications, insights and business intelligence based on advanced analyses and studies to support health care policy, benefits and operational decision making by Aetna internal and external constituents
Extracting, collecting, analyzing and interpreting health, utilization and financial data from many sources to address business questions
Acts as the analytic team lead for complex projects involving multiple resources and tasks, providing individual mentoring in support of company objectives.

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ year of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and tools
Proficiency using SQL/Python/R for data retrieval, manipulation, and transformation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and ensure data integrity
Ability to navigate effectively in a Linux/UNIX environment using basic commands & functions
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Well-versed in data analysis and data transformation
Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
Strong collaboration and communication skills (written/oral) with the ability to communicate analyses, technical ideas, and results to non-technical clients
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple teams
Excellent knowledge using Excel, Access, Visio, Word, and/or PowerPoint
Willingness to understand customers' needs and to create business strategies around them
Experience in working in a data warehouse environment as well as the ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources.

Nice to have:

7+ years of data analytics experience
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and their application in healthcare environments.
