We're on the lookout for a Inflight Retail Trading Manager to take the lead in defining and delivering our retail and pre-order proposition across TUI Airline. In this role, you'll have a sharp focus on product innovation, selling strategies, and commercial performance, playing a pivotal part in shaping the future of our inflight retail experience for customers. You'll work closely with our Supply Chain function, Customer and Finance teams to manage supplier relationships, drive targeted availability, and develop sales growth through multiple selling channels. Reporting directly to the Head of Inflight Retail and Supply Chain, you'll lead and inspire a team of four direct reports responsible for category management, commercial performance, product strategy, and sales development, whilst also engaging with cabin crew management teams and trade unions to ensure our retail proposition truly takes flight.
Job Responsibility:
Define our Inflight Retail strategy for TUI Airline, covering product categories and sales channels
Drive revenue and margin in line with a clearly defined service proposition and customer expectations
Define and deliver the overall Inflight Retail budget and P&L
Optimise revenue and margin growth whilst balancing cost considerations, waste targets, and customer satisfaction
Identify new and innovative products to complement our onboard range
Manage product selection and sourcing decisions
Oversee supplier relationships with a clear focus on cost, performance expectations, sustainability principles, and product innovation
Define seasonal planning cycles and develop accurate sales forecasts and inventory plans
Ensure the Trading team consistently uses data and insight to develop our proposition and manage commercial performance
Maintain a clear focus on safety legislation, compliance standards, ethical sourcing, and sustainability objectives
Requirements:
Proven experience in Trading, Buying, or Category Management within a retail business
Clear evidence of leadership skills to successfully navigate a critical portfolio of responsibilities
