Attend to the basic needs of infants and toddlers by providing nurturing care, including interacting with children, feeding, diapering, toileting, and supporting rest and nap routines
Observe and respond to children’s individual developmental cues and needs
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that support gross/fine motor, language, and social-emotional development
Maintain positive, respectful interactions that promote confidence and autonomy
Use a developmentally appropriate curriculum (e.g., play-based, nature-based, or other early learning frameworks)
Document children’s progress and daily routines (e.g., logs, observations, reports)
