A small, friendly 2‑form entry infant school in Horsham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic class teacher to join their team from September. The school is open to teachers across Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, with the year group allocated based on experience and strengths. Job Responsibility:
Full class teacher responsibility within Reception, Year 1 or Year 2
Delivering engaging, age‑appropriate learning in line with the Early Years Framework or KS1 curriculum
Creating a warm, structured and supportive classroom environment
Working closely with teaching assistants and fellow year‑group teachers
Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to qualify (ECTs encouraged to apply)
A passion for early learning and child‑centred teaching
Strong understanding of phonics, early reading and foundational learning
A positive, reflective and flexible approach
Willingness to contribute to a supportive and collaborative school culture
