The Cost Savings Specialist plays a critical role in driving customer value by training account managers on best practices for identifying and executing savings, creating, validating, and replicating cost savings initiatives across our [Industry Group] Corporate Accounts portfolio and collaborating with our suppliers to identify needs and engineer industry specific solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify, initiate, and document high-value savings opportunities with local account managers
  • Turn successful plant-level projects into scalable solutions applied within customers and across similar accounts in the industry
  • Build structured, industry-specific supplier collaboration to generate repeatable cost savings initiatives
  • Train account managers on best practices for identifying and executing savings opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial distribution, supply chain, operations, or related field
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives with measurable results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, reporting systems, and data analysis
