The department of 14-19 Curriculum plays an exciting and vital role in the student experience at Preston College and ensures students receive a high-quality service. This department is central to the study programme delivery and you will work alongside recruitment and pastoral teams in the support and management of students on Industry Placements and work experience. We are looking for a 1.0 FTE staff member for the post of Industry Placement and Careers Advisor to join our Industry Placement Team! You will play a pivotal role in creating that vital link for our students between education and employment and to help them gain valuable industry experience with well-respected local employers. We are looking for a friendly individual with strong communication skills to work alongside internal curriculum teams and with external employer partners in sourcing and placing students on Industry Placements. You will be responsible for coordinating and securing T leveI Industry placements and work experience opportunities for students, ensuring these align with their academic goals and career aspirations. In building strong relationships with employers, you will be preparing students for the workplace through guidance and training, and monitoring the progress of placements to ensure a successful experience for both students and employers. As part of the role you will be provided with CPD and you will be trained efficiently with Careers Guidance to support our student progression and the college recording systems for placements. Job Title: Industry Placement and Careers Advisor; Salary: Job family group-4 from SCP 22 (£30,704) to SCP 26 (£34,462) per per annum (pro rata for part time) salary based on qualifications and experience.
