Lamers Bus Lines is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member to help keep our facilities safe, organized, and compliant. This role plays an important part in supporting our shops and terminals by maintaining safety programs, coordinating training, and assisting with day-to-day shop needs. You'll work closely with management and help carry forward established programs, keeping them maintained and updated for compliance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and support safety and environmental compliance programs (OSHA, EPA, DNR)
  • Keep safety records, inspections, and compliance documentation up to date
  • Coordinate, track, and document employee safety training
  • Manage chemical inventories, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and proper labeling
  • Conduct terminal safety inspections and complete monthly checklists
  • Conduct hazardous waste, stormwater, and fire inspection reporting
  • Monitor shop and paint booth safety practices
  • Hands-on physically assist and direct shop areas needing cleaning/organizing
  • Assist with general shop and facility duties as needed
  • Support facility systems such as radios, cameras, and cleaning supplies
  • Assist with vendor coordination, contracts, and basic recordkeeping

Requirements:

  • Experience or education related to workplace safety, environmental compliance, or industrial operations
  • Strong organization and communication skills

  • Required to obtain and maintain CDL with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements (training provided)
