Job Description:

Industrial Piping Detailers use hardware and software technology to support the engineering and design team in the development from preconstruction to the final completion of a project. This role works under supervision to produce drawings, gather field data, and apply company and client standards. Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in preparation of design models, drawings and documents
  • Gather and verify field data under supervision
  • Support development of line lists, tie-in lists, equipment lists, and scope documents
  • Apply company and client standards to all work
  • Identify inconsistencies in drawings and models
  • Participate in design reviews and quality checks
  • Assist with a wide range of other detailing tasks

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Navisworks knowledge beneficial
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, both professional and interpersonal
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team
  • A responsible, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
  • Refined time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, in addition to strong math and science skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to process design or industrial projects is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with field verification or site work is beneficial but not required
  • Associate degree in Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred
