Job Responsibility:
Execute professional-grade blasting and mechanical surface preparation to achieve the required anchor profile for coating adhesion
Set up, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated airless spray systems and conventional pressure pots to ensure peak performance
Calculate and mix multi-part industrial coatings, thinning to exact specifications to maintain consistent viscosity and flow
Apply heavy-duty primers and topcoats to complex farm equipment geometries, ensuring uniform coverage without runs, sags, or orange peel
Utilize precision measurement tools (wet and dry film gauges) to verify coating thickness against engineering standards
Document all technical variables, including batch numbers, ambient humidity, and drying times, to ensure full traceability
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions on the fly, performing routine teardowns and cleanings of spray nozzles and filters
Work in close coordination with the manufacturing & logistics production lead to synchronize painting schedules with assembly workflows
Maintain a pristine and organized paint booth environment, adhering strictly to VOC disposal and safety regulations
Requirements:
3+ years of documented experience as an Industrial Painter, ideally in heavy machinery or automotive sectors
Strong background in a manufacturing & logistics environment
Demonstrated mastery of airless spray systems and surface prep tools
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting high quality standards
Availability for full-time day shifts in Thamesville, Ontario
Valid certifications in spray painting or industrial coating are considered a strong asset
Advanced technical knowledge of airless spray systems and industrial coating application
Proficiency in surface preparation standards (SSPC/NACE) and abrasive blasting techniques
Expertise in chemical mixing, including the use of catalysts, reducers, and specialized additives
Strong analytical skills for identifying and correcting coating defects such as pinholes or overspray
Mechanical aptitude for the maintenance of high-pressure pumps and fluid lines
High level of physical stamina and manual dexterity required for large-scale equipment painting
Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and safety data sheets (SDS)
