This position is primarily responsible for Emergency repairs, Preventive Maintenance, collaboration on continuous improvement (CI) projects and general Process support in a manufacturing environment. As a licensed millwright, under the direction of the Maintenance Team Lead, maintain processing, filling and packaging, related equipment in proper and safe operating condition.
Job Responsibility
Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery, assist in the installation of new filling, packaging machinery and processing equipment
Work collaboratively with electricians to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues
Independently or as part of a team work on assigned CI projects providing assistance as required
Provide direction and training where required to production personnel, apprentices, fellow trades
Develop and modify Planned Maintenance Programs
Requisition materials and parts necessary to maintain machinery and equipment
Assist on determination of spare parts stock levels
Prepare job material lists and perform job costing
Work in conjunction with, and assist any resources assigned to jobs throughout the plant
Work shift assignments as required
Attend training courses/seminars as required
Using the work order system ensure time spent on tasks is accurately charged
Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner
Perform installation and repair of various process pumps
Follow Good manufacturing practices as directed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Industrial Millwright license required
Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, pipefitting
Experience in manufacturing, preferably 2 – 3 years or more related to the packaged goods industry
Ability to work varying shifts based on plant scheduling
Role is primarily based in a manufacturing environment
