maintaining and cleaning of the department
managing inventory and ordering new stock
providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers
Uses manual cutting utensils, band saw and slicing machine to prepare meats for selling
Cuts carcasses, sides and quarters, removes bones from meat and trims and prepares standard cuts of meat
Uses sausage machine and salami mixer and cooker

Minimum two (2) years experience in industrial or retail meat cutting and/or meat plant production in beef industry
Ability to work safely with sharp tools in a production environment

Job Responsibility

Follow food safety, sanitation, and traceability procedures (e.g., cleaning/sanitizing equipment and work areas, preventing cross-contamination)
Package, label, weigh, and move product as required
Complete required production and quality records accurately
Follow all Occupational Health & Safety requirements, including safe work procedures and use of PPE
