Job Responsibility:

  • Perform industrial beef cutting and processing (e.g., trimming, deboning, portioning, and preparing cuts for further processing/packaging)
  • Operate knives and cutting tools safely
  • maintain sharpening and safe handling practices
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and traceability procedures (e.g., cleaning/sanitizing equipment and work areas, preventing cross-contamination)
  • Package, label, weigh, and move product as required
  • Complete required production and quality records accurately
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety requirements, including safe work procedures and use of PPE
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in industrial or retail meat cutting and/or meat plant production in beef industry
  • Ability to work safely with sharp tools in a production environment
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, work in cold/chilled areas, perform repetitive motions, and lift/move product up to 80 lbs
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for any employer or willing to obtain work authorization to work for Atlantic Beef Products Inc. in Canada
  • Ability to maintain line speed while performing tasks
  • Completion of High School or Canadian Equivalent of High School
  • Willing to work overtime and extended hours
