Requirements:
Will perform preventative maintenance inspection, services, and adjustments in routine daily maintenance on plant production assets
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services per company policies and procedures
Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems
Determines the extent of corrective action and repair parts required to correct malfunctions
Knows and applies required company safety procedures
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools
Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear
Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices
Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
Reassembling equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
Troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment, to include but not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes/Servo control devices, conveying systems, valves, photo eyes, switches, level controls
As applicable refer to blueprints and manufacturers manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery
Insert shims, adjust the tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts
Lay out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with a power drill
Dismantle machines use hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
Replace sprockets, pumps, machine centers, chains, sheaves, and belts with proper alignment
Replace hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, valves, and hoses
Basic stick welding and oxygen/acetylene torch cutting
Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals
Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software
Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment
