Job Description

Assists with maintenance and repair operations of the production equipment to continuously improve operations of production lines and complete Preventative Maintenance requests. Is accountable for machine down time and involved in maintaining the entire plant’s physical property.

Job Responsibility

  • Troubleshoots and completes basic repairs of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Works in a team environment
  • Learns to process and complete all Preventative Maintenance requests
  • Answers calls for production support and assists in changeovers and setups
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools
  • Supports Lean Manufacturing goals, including all 6S processes
  • Develops a customer/supplier relationship with the production teams
  • Follows all safety guidelines and promotes safety in the work areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • One (1) year of production maintenance experience required
  • Forklift driving authorization required within three (3) months of acquiring position
  • Knowledge of safe use of various equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude to perform equipment troubleshooting and repair/rebuild
  • Ability to read and understand product quality requirements, basic schematics, and diagrams
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage daily activities
  • Must be able to work on a team or independently in a multi-tasking environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and supportive to meet changing work demands
  • Understands, comprehends, and complies with the Lock Out Tag Out procedures
  • Ability and willingness to successfully complete the 24-hour Haz Mat training
  • Strong communication and customer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice to have

Associate degree in electrical or mechanical field of study or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred
