Job Description:

Come join our Engineering team in Georgetown, DE for Summer 2026! Our Engineering Internship offers students hands-on, real-world experience within the company over an 10 - 12 week period. Come experience an inside look in the world of plant operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct research and develop scope for a high-impact engineering project
  • Analyze cost estimates and propose viable solutions to improve business operations
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership
  • Assist project managers with active and developing projects
  • Learn and apply project management methodologies used at Perdue
  • Help track timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Support operations, maintenance, and operational technologies teams
  • Participate in troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives
  • Organize engineering and project files across multiple locations
  • Maintain version control and ensure accessibility of key documents
  • Create and refine presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Communicate technical concepts in a clear, engaging format.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Degree in an Engineering capacity
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well within a team setting, as well as independently
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate in a team atmosphere.
