As an Industrial Engineer at Smartways, the role focuses on applying industrial engineering principles to analyse, design and optimise operational systems and service delivery processes within a healthcare logistics environment. The position supports continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing efficiency, productivity, cost effectiveness and service quality across customer operations and service pipelines.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyse operational, CRM and service-pipeline data to identify inefficiencies, workflow constraints and performance gaps, and implement engineered process improvements
  • Conduct workflow, demand and performance analysis to model capacity, forecast workloads and support data-driven operational decision-making
  • Design and optimise operational systems and process structures to improve efficiency, service reliability and resource utilisation across customer operations
  • Develop data-driven costing and pricing models by analysing labour inputs, utilisation rates and process performance to support accurate forecasting and optimisation
  • Perform structured root-cause analysis (RCA) to investigate operational deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Support continuous-improvement initiatives by monitoring recurring issues, quantifying operational impacts and proposing engineered modifications to reduce variability and enhance productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, technology and management, to diagnose process issues and implement engineered solutions
  • Prepare analytical reports, findings and recommendations to support management decision-making and operational planning

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Industrial Engineer or similar role
