Job Description:

Are you a process-driven professional with a knack for streamlining production and a passion for Lean Manufacturing? We are looking for a motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team in Guelph for a one-year contract. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the industrialization of new product launches and the implementation of high-impact cost-saving initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process Optimization: Measure, analyze, and improve production processes with a heavy focus on product flow and line balancing
  • Standardization: Establish labor standards using MOST and time-study methods
  • develop Lean Manufacturing standards across the facility
  • Facility Design: Develop, revise, and implement equipment and process layouts using AutoCAD
  • Documentation: Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, Value Stream Maps, and detailed project timing plans
  • Project Management: Oversee the validation and verification of new processes to ensure they meet capability requirements
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production personnel to help identify and execute cost-saving and process improvement ideas

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized Engineering program (University level)
  • 3–5 years of related experience in an automotive or aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and time/motion direct labor measurement
  • Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, PFMEA development, and Plant Layout design
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • must be a self-motivated communicator who thrives in high-pressure situations
