Job Description:

We have a current opening for an Industrial Electrician to service our portfolio of properties

Job Responsibility:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across our portfolio of commercial and industrial properties
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
Work collaboratively as part of a team that includes maintenance technicians, power engineers, controls technicians, and operational team members
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices
Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in accordance with all standards and guidelines
Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, standards, and regulations
Ensure compliance with all company safety and OHS legislation
Keep accurate records of electrical work performed and maintain inventory of electrical equipment and supplies
Maintain superior customer service in all interactions with tenants

Requirements:

Red Seal, Licensed Industrial Electrician
Proven experience as an industrial electrician or similar role (experience in a commercial setting a strong asset)
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to electrical systems
Prior experience working with controls
Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
Experience in controls a strong asset
Collaborative, team player with strong communication skills
