Keep critical manufacturing running through PLC fault finding, preventative maintenance, and smart continuous improvement. We’re looking for a NZ Registered Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance team on a permanent afternoon shift, 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across our PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment -ensuring electrical, electronic, and control systems operate at designed performance levels.
Job Responsibility:
Complete planned preventative maintenance to schedule
Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and PLC-controlled equipment
Respond to breakdowns and support call-outs when required
Identify and implement improvements to machine reliability
Record work using our CMMS
Support Lean/6S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
Raise purchase orders and gather quotes for electrical work
Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and contractors
Champion strong health & safety practices and correct PPE use
Requirements:
NZ Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
At least 3 years' experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Strong fault-finding capability with PLC-controlled systems
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and CI methodologies
A proactive, "get it done" mindset
Great teamwork and communication skills
A strong commitment to safety and quality and continuous improvement
