Are you a Licensed Industrial Electrician looking for a stable, high-impact role in Scarborough? Our client is expanding their team to support major international projects—including custom cooling systems for NASA. This is a single-site, shop-based role in a custom manufacturing environment, offering a unique opportunity for specialists to move away from site-to-site travel. As a Randstad Professional partner, we prioritize connecting expert talent with organizations that value technical excellence and long-term retention. While our facility operates in English, we are a bilingual-friendly network and encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
Job Responsibility:
Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints to wire custom industrial HVAC units and chillers
Install, troubleshoot, and test electrical components including VFDs, relays, sensors, fuses, switches, and transformers
Conduct full functional testing and quality control on completed units to ensure operational readiness
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on PLC and HMI systems (Allen Bradley, Schneider, Siemens) to identify and resolve logic or hardware issues
Ensure all wiring and installations strictly adhere to Ontario Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) codes and CSA standards
Collaborate with the design team and supervisor to provide feedback on schematic accuracy and unit performance
Maintain a clean and safe workspace within a high-precision custom assembly shop environment
Requirements:
Must hold a valid 442A (Industrial Electrician) or 309A (Construction and Maintenance) Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience specifically within Industrial HVAC, custom machinery manufacturing, or high-density cooling systems
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot complex electrical schematics and blueprints (SolidWorks outputs)
Thorough understanding of Ontario Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) codes and CSA standards to ensure all custom builds meet regulatory compliance
Practical experience identifying and troubleshooting components within PLC and HMI systems (specifically Allen Bradley, Schneider, or Siemens brands)
Hands-on mastery of industrial components, including VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), relays, sensors, transformers, and 3-phase power systems
Proven track record in performing live-unit testing, functional quality control (QC), and adherence to strict shop safety protocols
