We are looking for a licensed electrician for a growing industrial manufacturing facility in Cambridge. This role requires the ability to interpret technical diagrams, use precision measurement tools, and perform critical troubleshooting to ensure optimal production performance.
Job Responsibility:
Electrical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot and install industrial control systems
Maintenance & Calibration: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on high-voltage power distribution, industrial motors
Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including failures in sensors, relays, variable frequency drives, and programmable logic controllers
Installation & Integration: Install, wire, and commission new electrical components and machinery, ensuring all work meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
Automation Support: Monitor and adjust automated systems and robotic cells
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate electrical logs, update schematic revisions, and ensure all work is documented within the CMMS
Safety Leadership: Ensure strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures and arc flash safety protocols while mentoring apprentices
Requirements:
Valid Industrial Electrician license (442a or 309a)
proficiency in welding, fitting, layout, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical systems, and crane/rigging operations
valid, unrestricted driver's license
ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
