The Industrial Electrician is a mission critical position that will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and control systems within the Sandhills Global facilities. They will use their knowledge of electrical systems to help these facilities run safely, efficiently and minimize equipment downtime. Electricians will perform scheduled, preventative and predictive maintenance to identify potential problems and fix appropriately. The Electrician will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues and management as well as outside vendors to install or maintain electrical or power systems. The Industrial Electrician will need to follow all national, state and local building regulation codes. Prior electrical experience that includes troubleshooting and repair is preferred. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn and work with Siemens brand drives, PLCs and other industrial and facility controls. A High level of professionalism, strong computer and communication skills are a must. Licensed Journeyman preferred. Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
2 years or more work experience as an electrician preferred
Working knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and various electrical systems
Journeyman’s license preferred, but not required
Apprenticeship or degree completion with electrical field preferred
Commitment to adhere to all safety procedures, legal regulations and guidelines
Stable and progressive work history
Mechanical aptitude essential

Emergency on-call availability required (minimal)
Ability to read electrical prints and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Assist with the communication side on the equipment.
Drive programming is not a requirement but will need to assist vendors.
Able to identify potential issues before they happen. (thermal imaging, amp testing, etc.)
