Job Description:

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an Industrial Electrician to join the team at The Mond Nickel Refinery in Swansea, one of the world's leading nickel refineries owned and operated by Vale Europe.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with wiring systems including SWA, MICC, T&E and conduit
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in an industrial environment
  • Work with AC and DC drives, servos and motors
  • Undertake PLC fault finding
  • Carry out HV and LV isolation and switching
  • Work with pressure, flow and temperature loops
  • Install and maintain single and three-phase wiring systems
  • Work with various motor starter methods and associated circuits

Requirements:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
  • BS7671 18th edition and C&G 2391
  • Ideally five years' relevant industry experience, preferably within heavy industry or refining
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Strong electrical fault-finding knowledge is essential
  • Ability to work shifts and respond to call-ins when required
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Commitment to safe working practices and environmental standards

Nice to have:

  • HNC qualification
  • Experience using maintenance systems such as SAP
