This is not a traditional 'electrical-only' role. We are looking for a maintenance professional who enjoys the variety of heavy industry. You will be part of a 4-person team of electricians who operate with a 'millwright mindset.' While your core expertise is electrical, approximately 60% of your time will be spent on mechanical tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Diagnose and repair breakdowns on aging but robust machinery, including relays, switches, gearboxes, circuit panels, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Execute weekly PM schedules (50% of the role) to ensure minimal downtime in a 24/5 production environment
Perform heavy mechanical work, acting effectively as a Millwright when required (gearbox changes, conveyor repairs, etc.)
Maintain and troubleshoot 480V systems, DC motors, and overhead cranes
Troubleshooting via Ladder Logic on Allen Bradley and Siemens systems (Panelview HMIs)
Assist with general building maintenance including lighting and basic plumbing
Requirements:
Valid 442A or 309A Electrician License is mandatory
3–5 years of experience in a Heavy Industrial environment (Steel, Mining, or heavy manufacturing preferred)
Highly mechanically inclined and willing to perform mechanical repairs daily
Strong troubleshooting skills in DC voltage
Ability to read/interpret older electrical diagrams and blueprints
Experience with Overhead Crane maintenance is a significant asset
Basic welding skills (Stick/Spot welding) are a plus

What we offer:
Hourly Rate: $42.40/hour
Shift: Primarily Day Shift (with potential for 1/3 week afternoon rotation)
