Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a specialist Industrial Disease team based in Birmingham. The role sits within a defendant-focused practice, acting for insurers and major corporate clients on complex industrial disease litigation. A core part of the team’s work is noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) claims, and this experience is essential for this role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting solicitors on a caseload of industrial disease claims, with a focus on NIHL
  • Reviewing and analysing medical evidence, audiology reports and disclosure
  • Drafting correspondence, pleadings and procedural documents
  • Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and third parties
  • Assisting with case strategy, deadlines and trial preparation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a paralegal handling noise induced hearing loss claims
  • A good understanding of industrial disease litigation procedures
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage tasks independently while working as part of a team
  • A professional and proactive approach to client service
