Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
Empties waste baskets
cleans floors, rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
Dusts all areas that are empty or cleared
replenishes bathroom supplies
washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
Vacuums all entranceways daily and other carpet areas as needed
cleans screens and filters
operates a floor scrubber, cleans water fountains
replaces light bulbs
Polishes metalwork
transports trash and waste to disposal area
cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors
scrubs processing tanks and vats
applies floor dry material where necessary
picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers
picks up refuse from plant grounds and operates industrial truck to transport materials within plant
Starts pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery, piping, or vats in an industrial setting
starts pumps to lubricate machines
Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
Adheres to company/customer safety procedures
May replace air-conditioner filters and clean kitchen and/or lunchroom

Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to: read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

Nice to have:

One to three year of related experience
Must be a team player, organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize
