Job Responsibility
Safely disassemble complex industrial machinery and production equipment according to standard operating procedures
Clean the internal components, gears, and compartments of the manufacturing machines to remove debris, buildup, and residue
Meticulously reassemble the machinery, ensuring all components are properly aligned and secured for the next production cycle
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools effectively to complete mechanical teardowns and adjustments
Follow strict industrial cleaning protocols and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and productive environment
Inspect machine parts during the cleaning process and report any visible wear, damage, or maintenance needs to the supervisor
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work zone within the manufacturing facility
Collaborate with the maintenance and manufacturing & logistics teams to minimize equipment downtime
Requirements
Proven experience as an Industrial Cleaner, machine operator, or in a related skilled trades/manufacturing role
Must be mechanically inclined with demonstrable experience using hand and power tools
Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs repetitively throughout the night shift
Must possess and wear CSA-approved steel-toed safety shoes or boots at all times on the production floor
Ability to work comfortably in an industrial manufacturing environment with a strong rubber smell
Excellent English communication skills to follow detailed technical safety and cleaning instructions
Full flexibility and reliability to commit to the designated night shift schedule in Brantford
Strong mechanical aptitude and a natural comfort working with machinery and mechanical systems
Proficiency in operating a wide range of mechanical hand tools and power tools
Solid understanding of basic industrial cleaning processes, chemical safety, and sanitation techniques
Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical diagrams or verbal instructions for machine assembly
Excellent physical stamina, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination for repetitive technical tasks
Strong attention to detail to ensure machines are cleaned thoroughly and reassembled flawlessly
Robust problem-solving skills to address minor mechanical alignment issues during reassembly
Reliable team player with a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence
