Be a key driver of smart manufacturing at Baxter Lessines. As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of automated production systems—supporting 24/7 operations that deliver life‑saving solutions worldwide.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure Operational Continuity: Quickly diagnose and resolve automation issues (PLC, drives, etc.) to minimize downtime
Provide expert support to production and maintenance teams, including on-call support when required
Lead Automation Projects: Implement automation upgrades and new initiatives
Write and review technical specifications and oversee system validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Support CAPEX planning and ensure alignment with site automation strategy
Optimize & Innovate: Monitor and continuously improve production systems and processes
Propose and deploy new technologies (PLC, HMI, Vision, AI, SCADA)
Maintain and update PLC, SCADA, and Vision systems
Collaborate & Train: Act as a technical advisor across departments
Train teams and ensure documentation remains up to date
Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners
Ensure Compliance: Apply GMP, validation, and Change Control processes
Participate in audits and ensure regulatory compliance
Requirements:
Degree in Industrial Engineering or Bachelor’s in Automation / Industrial Computing
5–10 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong expertise in Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley systems
Solid knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, and mechanics
Fluent French and good command of English
Analytical mindset, autonomy, flexibility, strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and training skills
