A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brighton & Hove is seeking a caring and dedicated Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to support pupils in Reception and KS1 with additional needs, including speech and language difficulties. Job Responsibility
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils in Reception and KS1
Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including speech and language difficulties
Helping pupils access learning activities and participate fully in school life
Encouraging communication, social interaction and emotional development
Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
Building positive, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported and confident
Requirements
Experience working with children, ideally within a school or early years setting
UK classroom-experience & highly reliable
DBS on the update service, or willing to apply
Understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
Experience supporting speech and language development is highly desirable
A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for helping children succeed
