Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Independent Testing Senior Manager in Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) as part of Corporate Risk. The team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.

Job Responsibility:

Manage an independent testing team responsible for coverage of Chief Operating Office
Develop and design methodologies and standards for review activities across assigned portfolios
Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities
Provide credible challenge to lines of business, across risk programs and the enterprise
Develop, maintain, and execute the Annual Plan
Perform high risk quality reviews
Identify repeat issues and ensure documented appropriately
Triage critical or high-risk issues and determine next steps
Establish benchmarks for timely tracking and completion
Lead initiatives that cross multiple lines of business in scope with significant impact or risk
Identify and provide oversight and escalation of existing and emerging risk issues
Lead high priority, high risk, or high complexity review activity engagements
Provide transparency and accuracy to regulators, Audit, and other stakeholders
Build relationships with corporate, business heads, Legal, Audit, regulators and industry partners
Provide status updates to key stakeholders on programs and specific reviews
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Independent Testing
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives

Requirements:

6+ years of Independent Testing or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management or leadership experience
Experience with Chief Operating Office
Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies
Experience evaluating adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products, and internal controls
Experience at a public accounting firm with experience in business process, regulatory, or audit
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in financial industry
Specialized knowledge or prior regulatory compliance testing or review experience
Experience evaluating compliance with global regulations for financial services
Experience evaluating operational risk for financial services
Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously with proven supervisory methods
Ability to influence senior management agreement on risk-based findings
Strong ability to research, trend, and analyze data
Ability to adapt and rapidly adjust to changes in the environment
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with various levels of management
Demonstrated negotiation skills with difficult topics
Demonstrated success with influencing business units to identify, formulate and implement processes/procedures to mitigate risk
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
