Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organisation. We’re looking for an Independent Prescriber for our Kingston and Merton Services. This can either be a full time role working 2.5 days at each service or a job share. This is not just a job – you’ll help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with their family and friends, return to work or education, and much more.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to support prescribing of Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) interventions, alcohol and opioid detoxifications, benzodiazepine reduction and relapse prevention medications
  • Support health care assessments and blood borne virus interventions
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based and compassionate care

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Independent Prescriber
  • Background in either nursing or as a pharmacist
  • Compassion
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Good listener
  • Stays curious
