Job Description:

Hunter AHP are seeking a qualified and experienced Independent Prescriber Pharmacist for an ongoing locum position within a GP surgery based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the clinical team, delivering high-quality care to patients through autonomous prescribing and clinical support.

Job Responsibility:

Conducting structured medication reviews
Managing long-term conditions such as hypertension, asthma, COPD, and diabetes
Prescribing and deprescribing within scope of competence
Processing repeat prescription requests and performing medicines reconciliation
Supporting minor ailment management and triage
Collaborating with GPs and multidisciplinary team members
Contributing to QOF targets and local prescribing initiatives

Requirements:

Registered Pharmacist with current GPhC registration
Accredited Independent Prescriber
Previous experience in a GP surgery or primary care environment
Proficient in EMIS, SystmOne, and Docman systems
Able to work independently and efficiently manage a clinical workload
