To help maintain standards of conduct at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority. The Fire Authority currently has one Independent Person in post and is now seeking to appoint another.
Job Responsibility:
Consult with HIWFRA’s Monitoring Officer, Audit and Governance Committee, and where appropriate, members, on complaints concerning alleged breaches of the Members’ Code of Conduct, including decisions on investigation and outcomes
Remain contactable during normal working hours
Attend hearings or meetings as required, some of which may take place during the daytime

Must not be, or have been within the last 5 years, a Member, Co-opted Member or Officer of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority
Must not be a relative or close friend of any such person
