Join Our Team as an Independent Assessing Social Worker. Are you an experienced social worker, based in North -West with a passion for fostering services? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as an Independent Assessing Social Worker, where you’ll have the flexibility to work from home with a highly rewarding compensation of £2,300 per completed assessment. In this self-employed role, you’ll play a key part in guiding prospective foster carers through the assessment journey and presenting your assessments to the Family Care Fostering Panel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Use the Fostering competency-based assessment format to evaluate applicants’ suitability
  • Panel Presentations: Present completed assessments to Family Care Fostering’s Panel
  • Documentation and Confidentiality: Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with statutory requirements
  • Flexible Scheduling and Communication: Coordinate visits with applicants, referees, and agency contacts, and keep management informed of any adjustments
  • Timely Reporting: Complete assessments within agreed timelines and promptly report any delays to the Registered Manager
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and confidentiality policies to ensure a secure and respectful work environment

Requirements:

  • Full, clean driving license
  • Social Work England registration
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
  • Prior experience in fostering assessments is essential
